Iowa Governor Award

This life-long award is the highest award presented to local members by the Iowa Jaycees. This award is intended for the Jaycee who has made significant contributions to their local community and chapter. This award may be presented at a distinguished local project, Regional or State Meeting. A plaque and name tag will be presented to the honoree.

Recommended Involvement

Mandatory – Must have been a member of the Iowa Jaycees for a minimum 2 years.
Nominee should have been an active member in their local chapter by serving on the Board of Directors for at least 2 years, or on the State Board for a minimum of 1 year.
Participated in all areas of the chapter, including Passport to Civic Leadership and actively participate in State Events or Meetings.

How to Request an Award

Application forms can be found in the "Chapter Resources" section on the top of this page. Completed application and check made payable to the JCI Iowa for $125 needs to be mailed to: JCI Iowa, PO Box 622, Newton, IA 50208-0983 at least 1 month prior to anticipated presentation date.
