Local Impact
Our chapters live out our mission: to provide development opportunities for young people to create positive change. Each chapter gets involved in their communities at the local level to make an impact in their communities, with projects such as sandbox fills, Easter egg hunts, Independence Day fireworks, school supply drives, Letters to Santa, and much more. Our members not only learn project management skills from leading these impact projects, but also develop their personal and professional skills and networks along the way.

Our organization gives young active citizens the tools and support they need to build the bridges of success in the areas of business development, management, leadership and personal training, community and government involvement. For 90 years, the Junior Chamber has been the original organization of choice for young active citizens (ages 18-40) in Iowa, providing direction and leadership for our communities, our state, and our world!
Who are the Jaycees?
Junior Chamber International (JCI)
Each JCI Iowa member is a part of one of 14 local chapters across the state. As a member of your local chapter, you are automatically a member of JCI Iowa, JCI USA, and JCI (International). Our members across the state are committed to becoming leaders in building societies throughout the community and state. Our chapters focus on implementing positive change by determining community needs and providing solutions through projects, programs, and action. Benefits of being a member of JCI include:
